Which material for which job?
ACM (aluminum composite) is the standard exterior panel — two aluminum skins with a solid core. It will not warp, rust or fade, and it is what most storefront and building signs are made from.
Aluminum is the classic for parking, traffic and regulatory signs that live outdoors for years.
PVC is lighter and cheaper — good for indoor and short-term outdoor use.
Acrylic is the premium lobby and office look: clean edges, standoff mounting, professional finish.
Sidewalk and lit displays
An A-frame sign kit puts your message on the sidewalk where foot traffic actually is, and the inserts swap out for daily specials. An LED light box keeps working after dark — the single most overlooked upgrade for restaurants and salons.

Can you cut a custom shape?
Yes — ACM, PVC and acrylic can be cut to a custom outline. Send your shape as vector art and we will quote the cut.
Do I need a permit for a storefront sign?
Many Chicago-area municipalities require one for permanent exterior signage. Check with your village or ward office before ordering, and we will supply the drawings you need.
How long do rigid signs last?
ACM and aluminum with UV ink hold up for several years outdoors. Acrylic and PVC indoors last effectively indefinitely.
